What Aspects Should Be Paid Attention To in The Daily Maintenance And Upkeep Of A High-speed Paper Bowl Forming Machine?

Feb 05, 2026

As an automated production line, the daily maintenance of high-speed paper bowl molding machine mainly revolves around four core aspects: mechanical structure, electrical system, mould and operating procedure.

I. Mechanical Structure maintenance: ensure Transmission Accuracy and stability.
Lubrication System Maintenance
Key Components: High-speed rotating parts such as spindle bearings, gearboxes, chains, and cam dividers need to be lubricated every 8 hours (e.g., 32# machine oil) to prevent dry friction and wear.
Lubrication Cycle: change gearbox oil every 500 hours. Clean the oil circuit and replace the filter core every 2000 hours to prevent sludge accumulation from affecting transmission efficiency.
Transmission Component Inspection
Belt pull: Check the pull of the main belt once a week and adjust it to standard (usually 180-220N) using a tension gauge to prevent belt from slipping or breaking.
Chain tension: Check chain tension every shift. Adjust the tensioner to control chain sag to 15-20mm to prevent leakage or jamming.
Coupling: Check the wear and tear of the coupling elastic sleeve once a month. If cracks or permanent deformation are found, they should be replaced immediately to prevent transmission misalignment.
Cleaning and rust prevention
Daily cleaning: blow out paper scraps and oil stains on equipment surfaces with compressed air. Special attention should be paid to cleaning the area around the heating module and mold to prevent impurities from entering the mechanical gap.
Anti-rust: Apply anti-rust oil weekly to exposed metal parts, such as guide rails and sliders, especially in humid environments that require increased frequency.

II. Electrical system maintenance: ensure Control Accuracy and safety
PLC and Sensor Calibration
Temperature control: calibrate the heating module's temperature sensor quarterly using an infrared thermometer to ensure that the actual temperature differs ≤ ± 2 ° C from the set value in case paper cups adheres or poor sealing.
Photoelectric Detection: Clean the photoelectric sensor lens once a month and wipe surface dust with alcohol to prevent faulty detection from causing the device to shutdown.
Connection and Interface Inspection
Loose fault: check the wiring terminals of motor, solenoid valves, etc.. Check if each shift is loose. Tighten with a screwdriver and apply conductive paste to prevent bad contact and sparks.
Insulation test: The motor insulation resistance of the motor is tested every six months with a terahertz meter. Omega resistance should be less than 1 Omega, and if below standard, the motor must be replaced.
Inverter Maintenance
Heat Dissipation Cleaning: once a month frequency converter cooling fan and heat sink, to ensure smooth ventilation, prevent overheating alarm.
Parameter Backup: Quarterly backup of PLC program and inverter parameters to avoid production interruptions due to unexpected losses.

III. Mold Maintenance: Improve Molding Quality and Life
Daily cleaning
Punch mold: After each shift, blow paper scraps paper off the mold blade with air gun and use a soft brush to clean off any remaining glue to prevent it from blunting.
Heating mould: After daily production, use a copper brush to clean carbon deposits on the surface of the hot plate to avoid affecting the sealing effect.
Worn out
Blade Inspection: weekly with a projector to check the wear and tear of die blade. If wear exceeds 0.1mm, it must be immediately re-ground or replaced to prevent burrs on the edges of paper cup.
Gap adjustment: Check the die closing gap once a month and adjust it to 0.05-0.1mm with a a feeler gauge to ensure the hardness of the moulded paper cup.
Lubrication and rust
Guide Pillars and bushing: Apply high temperature grease (e.g. molybdenum disulfide) to guide column and bushing to reduce friction.
Shutdown Maintenance: When the equipment is out of service for a long time, spray rust oil on the mold surface and wrap it in plastic wrap for protection.

IV. INTRODUCTION Operating Procedures and Personnel Training
Standardized Operation
Pre-start inspection: Operators must check the equipment's lubrication oil level, air pressure and function of the emergency stop button daily. You can't start the machine until you're sure everything's right.
Parameter Monitoring: real-time monitoring of temperature, pressure, speed and other parameters during production. Disconnect immediately and check for abnormalities.
Training of personnel
Periodic review: quarterly equipment maintenance training for operators. Assessment includes lubrication point location, fault code identification and safe operating procedures.

V. Spare parts management and Preventive Maintenance
Critical spare parts stocks
List of consumer parts: Establish a list of consumable parts such as belts, chains, bearings and heating elements. This reserve should cover one month's production needs.
Supplier Cooperation: sign spare parts supply agreement with equipment manufacturer to ensure delivery within 48 hours of emergency.
Preventative Replacement
Periodic Replacement: replace high-wear parts in advance according to the operation time of the equipment to avoid sudden failure.
Data recording: Establish equipment maintenance records, record the time of each repair, replacement parts and fault causes, and provide the basis for optimizing maintenance plan.
